Polishing

Polyethylene waxes are specially recommended due to their technical characteristics:
  • Good solvent retention
  • High hardness and flexibility
  • Good buffability
  • Good emulsification (oxidised wax)
These characteristics allow to make solid pastes of fine particles (wax&solvent) with good heat resistance and greasiness, being solvent exhudation minimal.
By mixing polyethylene wax with other waxes which lack of those characteristics, they can be conferred to them which allow to use lower priced waxes or paraffin waxes in a higher percentage.
With oxidised wax a very stable emulsion is obtained which has a great compatibility with a wide range of resins and emulsion additives.
